As we leave Q3 and enter the last quarter of 2024, we’ve published what we hope to achieve between now and the end of the year.
You can explore what we delivered in Q3 and what our Q4 backlog looks like in the Backlog section of the website.
Q3 highlights:
- Breadcrumb, Link Button, Dialog components.
- New MDS Experiments providing early access to our prototypes and proof of concepts.
- Grid, spacing and viewports and devices added to Experiments.
- Router/links support added to Tabs, Pagination, Button Group etc.
- 6 new icons (list-numbers, safety-gear, safety-helmet, vessel-side-arrow-up, vessel-side-arrow-down, vessel-side-arrow-down-up) and a solid variant of the house icon.
- 45+ bugs fixed or resolved.
Q4 key priorities:
Research & laying the groundwork for future features.
- Research the requirements for a search input field in the Select and Multi-Select components and provide a next steps plan.
- Research and review select patterns (in particular multi-select) to ascertain if the MDS requires further components/guidelines.
- Research and review date/time patterns to ascertain if the MDS requires further components/guidelines.
New features
- Page layout templates and treeview navigation component.
- Production ready Drawer component and an upgrade of the Modal component to align with the Drawer and Dialog architecture and dev experience.

- Currency/pricing guidelines.
Breadcrumb graduates from Experiments
After a brief spell as an MDS Experiment, the Breadcrumb has now graduated to production-ready and is fully supported by the Maersk Design System.
