Overview
In June 2024, the Maersk Design System (MDS) conducted an experience survey, revealing insights into its usage and impact. With a 21% response rate from 770 targeted users, the survey highlighted that 66% of respondents frequently use MDS, and 81% agree that it saves them time.
On average, users save 1 hour and 20 minutes daily, which translates to 1 day a week per person. This time savings means there is great potential to unlock more time to solve problems when all 770 users begin to utilise MDS’s value offering.
Uncovered challenges
Despite the positive feedback, the survey also identified challenges, particularly with Technology compatibility, discrepancies between Figma and Storybook, and the need for more comprehensive documentation with examples and complex components.
This feedback already opened productive discussions within the MDS team about what we can do to improve your experiences.
Overall satisfaction
Overall satisfaction remains high, with an NPS score of 51 indicating strong support and appreciation for the MDS team’s efforts.
The qualitative feedback underscores the importance of continuous improvement and that people have predominantly positive experiences not only from using the MDS assets but also from receiving timely support.
